Itinerary of Annapurna Panorama Trek -7 Days

01
Day 1: Welcome to Kathmandu!

Beautiful views of the city, the Himalayas, and the terraced farms below will greet you as you soar over Kathmandu as you land. After clearing customs, a representative will be there to welcome you, help you get settled into your hotel, and help you navigate the initial cultural shock of Kathmandu’s twisting, crowded streets.

After you’ve settled in, go exploring in the city. Your trip should begin at Durbar Square, where you may meander through confined passageways filled with quaint stores, historic temples, and neighborhood eateries. Swayambhunath, the white stupa standing above the valley, is the ideal location to watch the sun set over the valley if you want to get some exercise.

With a variety of restaurants offering both Western and regional Nepali cuisine, Thamel, the city’s tourist centre, is a fantastic place to eat dinner in the evening.

Day 2: Fly from Kathmandu to Pokhara, Drive to Astam

You will be taken to the domestic airport for your trip to Pokhara after a leisurely breakfast. Before arriving in Pokhara, passengers take a breath-taking 30-minute flight up the Himalayan Range, passing four of the world’s fourteen tallest mountains—Dhaulagiri, Annapurna I, Manaslu, and Shishapangma.

After landing, you’ll be met and taken (usually for one to two hours) through beautiful countryside to the village of Astam, where you’ll step into an entirely different world than Kathmandu. You may enjoy the breathtaking vistas of Machapuchare and the Annapurna Range while traveling.

You’ll awaken this morning to a breathtaking vista of the Annapurna range (weather permitted) and a filling breakfast to get you ready for the day ahead. The picturesque Gurung village of Dhampus is reached by taking the trail and traveling along the ridgeline.

The Gorkha regiments of the Nepali, Indian, and British forces were made up of the Gurung people, a prominent ethnic group in Nepal. You will spend tonight in the Basanta Lodge, which is one of the well-known Ker & Downey lodges and is named after the season of spring. The garden offers stunning vistas, and you may unwind with happy hour cocktails while taking it all in.

After some well-earned relaxation and time to take in the scenery, you’ll descend through the forest to Tolka, a charming Gurung village with a vibrant culture. The trail then descends through forest and settlements to Landruk once you reach BeriKharka. You’ll spend the night in a neighborhood teahouse in Landruk, a sizable Gurung settlement located above the Modi River. On the way, lunch will be provided.
