Itinerary of Nepal Multi-Sport Adventure – 6 Days

01
Day 1: Welcome to Kathmandu - Bazaar Walk and Kathmandu Durbar Square

You’ll get stunning views of Kathmandu, the Himalaya, and the terraced farms below as you take off and land in Kathmandu. After clearing customs, a representative will be there to welcome you, help you adjust to the unfamiliar small, twisting streets of Kathmandu, and help you check into your hotel.

Depending on when you arrive, you can go on a walking tour of an old bazaar later that day. Discover the hidden courtyards and alleyways of old Kathmandu, which are packed with booths selling fruit and vegetables, spices, fabric, brass kitchenware, and other items. These areas are sprinkled with Buddhist stupas and Hindu temples. Visit the close-by Kathmandu Durbar Square, which was once a seat of royal and religious authority. The Hanuman Dhoka Palace, which serves as the showpiece, is an eclectic mash-up of architectural styles.

In the evening, the popular tourist district of Thamel is a great place to have your first meal because it has a wide selection of eateries serving both Western and native Nepali cuisine.

02
Day 2: Mountain Bike to the Trisuli River

We ride mountain bikes out of the Kathmandu Valley today. As we cross the valley rim, we begin a fantastic descent over a ridgeline that takes us all the way to the Trisuli River. Get your first taste of rural village life as you take in the stunning vistas of the hills and valleys.

You will be transported to a riverside camp for your overnight stay after arriving at the Trisuli River, where you can spend the night in comfort.

03
Day 3: Canyoning and Rafting

You have the option to go canyoning this morning or simply unwind at the camp. In either case, you’ll spend about three hours rafting on a class III/IV river after lunch. The Trisuli River features some lengthy flat stretches in addition to some thrilling but not particularly difficult whitewater rapids. On such sections, you may relax and take in the scenery as you go through the picturesque valley, past villages, terraced rice fields, and stunning canyons.

Take a quick stroll from the river to Brigand’s Bend at Kurintar to cap off your day of exploration. Enjoy a refreshing beverage while watching the river and adjacent valleys from this location.

04
Day 4: Cable car to Manakamana - Trek to Gorkha Gaun

This morning you’ll need to pack your day pack, as you’re going for your first Himalayan hike. First take a short hike to the highway, from where you’ll drive 10 minutes to the cable car station at Kurintar for the amazing ride up to Manakamana.

You will be transported over 3300 feet (1000 m) into the mountains, high above the Trisuli Valley, by this gondola cable car. Your destination, the temple at Manakamana, would require a lengthy climb, but arriving there in just 10 minutes is impressive. It’s amazing to witness the Nepali and Indian pilgrims arrive at the small pilgrimage town surrounding the temple at the summit to pay offerings to the Hindu goddess Bhagwati, an avatar of Parvati.

After exploring the temple, climb higher and follow the ridgeline to the temple’s north. You will experience breathtaking mountain vistas, including Annapurna, Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, and Langtang, among many others, from the top of the peak.

Hike over the ridge to TinmaneBhanjyang, from which point you will descend through old-fashioned settlements for several hours to reach the small LudiKhola (stream). The last stretch of the journey to your motel is hilly. Arrive by late afternoon to catch the spectacular mountain sunset and a drink.

05
Day 5: Pokhara, Adventure Capital of Nepal

After breakfast, give Gorkha a warm farewell before making the short trip to Pokhara in the west.

The rest of today is yours to relax in the Lakeside area or continue seeing this wonderful town after checking into your hotel. Pokhara offers several adventure sports, like lake paddling, paragliding, mountain biking, sightseeing on vintage Royal Enfield motorbikes, and wonderful walks. It also has some fantastic eateries, decent shopping, and loads of adventure activities. You may choose.

06
Day 6: Fly to Kathmandu - Depart Nepal

After breakfast, take a taxi to the Pokhara domestic airport to catch your flight back to Kathmandu across the formidable Himalaya. Once you are in Kathmandu, you have time to yourself until you need to return to the airport in order to catch your trip home. We appreciate you joining us on the trip, and we hope to see you back in Nepal soon!
