Day 5: Explore Pokhara: World Peace Pagoda, Gupteswor Caves & Davis Waterfall

Discover Pokhara today. This laid-back city is situated between the majestic Macchapucchre hill and the tranquil waters of Phewa Lake. The World Peace Pagoda is accessible after a boat journey across the lake and a 1.5-hour stroll through the forest. One of more than 80 Peace Pagodas constructed in an effort to bring people from all over the world together and advance world peace is this Buddhist stupa (shrine). In addition to being a striking sight in and of itself, this vantage point offers breathtaking views of the city below, Phewa Lake, and snow-capped mountains. You can choose to travel to the shrine in your automobile if you’re not feeling particularly daring.

Continue on to the neighboring Davis Falls and the natural wonders Gupteswor Caves before visiting the Mountain Museum, which has displays on the history of mountaineering in the Himalaya that are both intriguing and educational.

Following the tour, the afternoon and evening are yours to do as you want. You can relax by the lake or eat dinner with a view at one of the city’s numerous top-notch restaurants.

You’ll have the rest of the day to yourself after a hectic morning. Relax at the lake’s shore, look for gifts, unwind in a yoga class, or schedule a massage at one of the many spas in the area.
