Day 1: Welcome to Kathmandu
You’ll get vistas of the valley, the Himalaya, and the terraced fields below as you soar into Kathmandu. After clearing customs, a representative will meet you outside the airport and direct you to your accommodation by navigating Kathmandu’s curvy, winding streets.
After you’ve settled in, go exploring in the city. The Kathmandu Durbar Square is an excellent site to start your trip because it is surrounded by tiny stores, historic temples, and neighborhood eateries. Swayambhunath, the white stupa rising above the valley, is the ideal location to watch the sunset if you want to get some exercise.
The nightlife of Thamel, where you can choose from a range of eateries serving both Western and regional Nepali cuisine, is an excellent place to have your first dinner.

Day 2: Fly from Kathmandu to Chitwan
After breakfast today, you’ll go to Kathmandu’s domestic airport to catch your flight for the brief journey to the Terai region and Chitwan National Park.
The name “Terai” alludes to the vast plains in the southern region of Nepal; this region is the furthest northern extension of the immense Gangetic plains of India, territory that has been conquered and lost through years of conflict and which combines elements of Indian and Nepalese culture.
Your jungle retreat is a one-hour drive from the airport. The Barahi Jungle Lodge, which spans 30 acres, has 35 luxurious boutique guest rooms that were constructed as standalone and duplex private villas. All of the large apartments, each with a private balcony overlooking the Rapti River and Chitwan canopy, are decorated with works by Tharu craftsmen.

Day 3: Safari Day - Jeep and Walking Safari
A whole day on the safari is a day you won’t soon forget! An accomplished naturalist who is knowledgeable about the natural world leads all animal activities. The bigger one-horned rhinoceros, spotted deer, and sambar deer, as well as a rich diversity of birdlife, are among the wildlife of Chitwan National Park. If you’re lucky, you might even catch a glimpse of a leopard, sloth bear, or Royal Bengal tiger.
Your resort’s location right on the river is a benefit, and occasionally you can even observe animals drinking and bathing right at the river’s edge! Enjoy meals and chat outside after your travels.

Day 4: Boat Safari to Tiger Tops Tharu Lodge
After breakfast today, proceed to the river’s boat ramp to board a traditional longboat for the trip to Tiger Tops Tharu Lodge. Additionally, there is a fantastic chance to see crocodiles, rhinos, and occasionally tigers on the riverbanks while birding.
Before lunch, your boat excursion will come to a finish close to Tiger Tops. The lodge is the ideal spot to relax because it is tucked away next to a beautiful forest and offers views of the picturesque Terai landscapes. You can spend the afternoon in the bush or take a bullock cart into the Tharu village nearby to learn more about the way of life in this region of the Terai.
Eat outside beneath a mango tree, cool down in Tharu’s garden pool, play a game of tennis, or simply swing softly in a hammock while enjoying the afternoon air. Enjoy the sounds of the forest at night from your window.
