Trishuli Rafting & Kayaking: 1-2 Days
Overview of Trishuli Rafting & Kayaking: 1-2 Days
The Trisuli is the ideal river for day trips in Nepal. It’s the ideal way to break up a long bus ride to your next destination because it’s conveniently located between Pokhara, Chitwan, and Kathmandu. Why spend eight hours on a bus when you can float just half of it! It’s one of the most well-liked day tours in Nepal and is fantastic any time of year.
Detailed itinerary
Typically, the Trisuli is operated as a day trip. A typical day excursion with GRG’s Adventure Kayaking would follow this route.
At 6.30 am, you’ll leave from Kathmandu (alternative transportation can be arranged from Pokhara or Chitwan if necessary). The journey to our put-in position just takes three hours. Where we begin will vary depending on the season (during the monsoon, for example, we will run twice as far as in other months).
We typically begin in a little village named Chauraudi. Your guides will serve you a cup of Nepali tea while they prepare things for the journey. After receiving your gear (helmet, life jacket, and paddle), you’ll be led out to the beach for a thorough safety briefing during which you’ll learn what to expect from the rest of the day. Then the adventure begins: four hours of large, bouncing rapids with great swimming holes, breathtaking scenery, and cliff jumps.
For a quick lunch of pasta, salad, and bread, we stop halfway down the road on a sandy beach. Then we take off once more; the following section of river has eleven significant rapids.
When we arrive at our departure location, which is typically Kuring Ghat, you can change into dry clothing. After that, you can decide whether to spend the night at our riverside camp or carry on to Kathmandu, Chitwan, or Pokhara.
We will show you around our camp, pour you a delicious cup of tea, and lead you to your tent if you choose to stay the night. You’ll enjoy the evening with other visitors and our guides around a campfire and the stars once dinner is served at 7 o’clock.
The following morning, you can choose to take the bus to your next destination, go rafting again, try our canyoning, go kayaking, or go on a day trek through our nearby communities.

Essential Information - Trishuli Rafting & Kayaking: 1-2 Days
Best Season
The Trisuli river offers a fantastic ride at any time of year, which is one of its best features. You will always have a terrific trip on the Trisuli, whether it’s during the monsoon when the waters are double their size or during the winter when the river becomes more difficult.
No Experience Required
No prior expertise is necessary on this river because of its “pool drop” design. It is excellent for beginning paddlers who want to venture out and discover Nepal’s rivers. Excellent for groups of friends, family members, or even seasoned paddlers seeking for a warm-up before hitting the large Himalayan rivers.
Getting to this river
One of Nepal’s most popular rivers is also one of the easiest to reach, especially on Saturdays when a large number of Nepalis visit to enjoy the river. From Kathmandu, the trip to Pokhara takes just three hours on the main route. Daily tourist buses pass by, making access to and from the river incredibly simple.
lodging and meals
There are numerous possibilities if you choose to extend your day journey into an overnight adventure. A growing number of rafting companies are constructing riverside camps. This creates possibilities for a day of hiking, kayaking, or canyoning. Or, if you want something a little more upscale, Riverside Springs has a range of lodging choices.
