Overview of Manaslu with Nar Phu Valley Trek

The Manaslu with Nar Phu Valley Trek is a 22 day adventure that combines two of Nepal’s most remote trekking regions into one journey. This trek brings together mountain views, ancient villages, high mountain passes, and Tibetan influenced culture as we follow the Manaslu Circuit before entering the hidden valleys of Nar and Phu.

The trip starts with a picturesque ride over Kathmandu to Machha Khola and drifting along the Budhi Gandaki River through forests, terraced farms and serene villages. The landscape becomes altered to snow covered alpine valleys as the trail rises higher and higher to change green hills to snow covered hills. Local traditions can be experienced in villages like Namrung, Sama Gaon, and Samdo as the preparations of the crossing the renowned Larkya La Pass are being made.

The adventure goes on to the restricted Nar Phu Valley after Manaslu Circuit. It is a remote area with its stone built villages, ancient monasteries, vast mountain valleys and a lifestyle which has changed little over the generations. A visit to Phu Gaon, Nar Village, and Kang La Pass will be another memorable experience in the trip before going down to the Annapurna region.

In Nepal Wanderlust Treks, the support team and our expert guides take care of all the details of the trek, including permits and transportation, accommodation and logistics of the day. We move slowly enough to provide ample time to get acquainted with the area, as well as to explore the history of the two areas, their culture, and nature.

The 22 Days Manaslu with Nar Phu Valley Trek is created to meet the needs of trekkers who desire the trek route to be more than only one. We have designed an amazing Manaslu with Nar Phu Valley Trek Itinerary that incorporates two outstanding Himalayan adventures into one full package and that provides us with a variety of landscapes, the original mountain culture and the memorable experience of high altitude crossings.
