Everest Panorama Trek

Upon arrival at the Tribhuvan International Airport, our Nepal Wanderlust Treks representative will welcome you and take you into your hotel using a peivate vehicle. When you have checked in, you can relax or explore around the local streets of Thamel, a busy area with cafes, restaurants, shops and trekking equipment shops.

In the evening our trekking guide will inform you about the next adventure, look through the itinerary, and answer the questions you might have. It is also a good time to do some last minute preparation before you travel to the Everest region.

We will visit some of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites of Kathmandu Valley in the morning. Depending on your sightseeing plan, you can visit Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhanath Stupa, Swayambhunath Stupa and Kathmandu Durbar Square. These historical sites are a great way to pre-explore the culture, history, and religious visions of Nepal and then proceed to the mountains.

Your trekking permits and gear check will be done later in the afternoon. In case of any deficiency, one will have time to hire or buy trekking equipment in Kathmandu. You decide when the night is over because the following day you will be ready to leave Lukla.

In the morning, we will fly to Lukla. During the peak trekking seasons, flights to Lukla may operate from Ramechhap instead of Kathmandu depending on airline schedules and weather conditions. On arrival, our trekking crew will welcome us and we will begin our trek to Phakding.

The path follows the Dudh Koshi River through peaceful forests, typical Sherpa villages, and other suspension bridges-lined with colorful prayer flags. The trek is not very challenging and you will get accustomed to the path and enjoy the nature of the Khumbu Valley. On arrival at Phakding, we will enter our teahouse and rest during the night.

Today we will follow the Dudh Koshi River, through some beautiful forests and crossing many suspension bridges before arriving at Monjo and entering the Sagarmatha National Park. The permit check will be the next thing as we proceed the scenic trail before we start the gradual climb to Namche Bazaar.

The final ascent stage is the hardest of the day but the clear weather may at times provide the trekkers with the first sight of Mount Everest. After you arrive at Namche Bazaar then you can go out to see the local market, cafes and bakeries and then come back to your teahouse to spend the night.

Today is the acclimatization day so that your body can be used to the new high altitude. After breakfast we will then hike to the popular Hotel Everest View where you will see wide views of Mount Everest, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, Nuptse and the entire mountain range.

We will proceed to Khumjung Village; a traditional Sherpa village because of its monastery, school and serene environment. We will spend the day in the village learning about the local culture and will spend the night again in Namche Bazaar.

We will leave Namche Bazaar behind and follow a scenic path that will provide us with clear views of Mount Everest, Ama Dablam, Lhotse, and Thamserku. It makes a gradual turn into the river Dudh Koshi and then climbs upwards through rhododendron and pine trees to Tengboche.

Tengboche is home to the largest and most important monastery in the Khumbu region. After observing the monastery and the peaceful surroundings, we will spend the evening at the teahouse while enjoying the changing light over the surrounding mountains.

We will begin our journey to Namche Bazaar in the morning. This trail leads down into the forest and crosses the Dudh Koshi River and slowly ascends back to Namche. A walk in the other direction provides different views of the surrounding valleys and snow covered mountains.

When you reach Namche Bazaar, you will be able to take a rest, have a hot dinner or go sightseeing in the town before moving on to the descent to Lukla the next day.

This is the last day of trekking. We will continue down through Monjo and Phakding and repeat the same route back to Lukla. We will cross suspension bridges and Sherpa villages and enjoy the calmness of the Dudh Koski Valley on our way.

Upon reaching Lukla, we will enjoy a farewell dinner with our trekking team to celebrate the successful completion of the Everest Panorama Trek. The night is the appropriate time to reflect on the memorable moments from the trek.

Today, in the morning we will fly back to Kathmandu. The short flight back to Kathmandu gives you one last aerial view of the Everest region before flying back to the capital city.

We will land and pick you up from private vehicle and take you to your hotel. The remainder of the day is at free to buy souvenirs, sightsee or take some rest after your Himalayan adventure.

Today is the end of your Everest Panorama Trek. According to your international flight schedule, our representative will provide you with a personal transfer to Tribhuvan International Airport.
