Essential Information - Everest View Luxury Trek

Best Time for Everest View Luxury Trek

The most favorable seasons of the Everest View Luxury Trek are spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November). Most of the time the weather at these months is quite stable and the sky remains clear offering very good views of Mount Everest, Ama Dablam, Lhotse and other Himalayan peaks around it. The spring also introduces the blooming rhododendron forests, which provide the landscape with vibrant colors and the autumn gives exceptional visibility and fresh air following the monsoon season.

December- February is a good time to travel with those who prefer quieter environment as well as mountain scenery, though it is colder. Rains and clouds that occur during the monsoon season between June and August can cause problems with the visibility of mountains and helicopter flights.

Trip Difficulty

The Everest View Luxury Trek is a comfortable and easy trek that does not involve any prior trekking experience. The itinerary will feature moderate walks on well-paved mountain paths, and hence, it is recommended to families, couples, senior citizens, and any person of reasonable fitness. Unlike longer Everest trekking routes, there are no long walking days or steep climbs. Helicopter travel and luxury accommodation will enable you to enjoy the beauty of the Everest region without straining physically. We also have professional guides who will guide you all the way along so that you have time to relax and will help you when you need it.

Altitude and Acclimatization

Hotel Everest View, at 3,880 m (12,730 ft) is the highest point of the Luxury Everest View Trek. Although this altitude is much lower than Everest Base Camp, some travelers may still notice mild effects of thinner air. The itinerary will be gradual in terms of rising altitude, minimal walking, and relaxing accommodation to enhance the body to adapt naturally.

Drinking enough water, avoiding unnecessary physical effort, and following your guide’s advice will help you enjoy the trip safely. The altitude sickness risk is significantly reduced because the journey is not over 4,000 meters because the risk is much higher in the case of longer Everest trekking routes.

Permits

The Everest View Luxury Trek Itinerary requires two permits: the Sagarmatha National Park Entry Permit and the Khumbu Pasang Lhamu Rural Municipality Entrance Permit. All people who visit the Everest region, even those travelling by helicopter services are required to have these permits. All the permits required will be organized by our team prior to your trip, and you will not have to fill in any forms on your own.

You are advised to have your passport with you during the journey since at various points of the route, there are permit checks. If permit fees are included in your package, there will be no additional charges during the journey.

Travel Insurance

The Everest View Luxury Trek is highly recommended to take travel insurance. Helicopter travel, emergency medical treatment and evacuation by helicopter should be covered in your insurance policy in case it is required by illness or injury. Selecting a policy that includes flight delays, cancellations, or changes in itineraries is also to be recommended since the weather conditions in the Everest area may sometimes influence the working of the helicopters.
